  1. State v. Page

    2023 Me. 73 (Me. 2023)   Cited 5 times
In Page, the Law Court upheld the trial court's (Androscoggin County, Stewart, J.) discovery sanction, which prevented the State from using late-disclosed discovery in its case-in-chief, while still allowing the State to use that evidence to the extent it directly rebutted evidence presented or arguments made by the defendant.

[ΒΆ22] We therefore do not reach this issue. Page also asserts that the State offered him a disproportionate plea offer when compared with the offer provided to the defendant in State v. Every, 2023 ME 39, 298 A.3d 806. Page asserts that, because Every and his case are so factually similar, the contended disproportionate plea offer was, in part, attributable to Page being an African American man and Every being a White man.
