STATE OF LOUISIANA v. CAMERON CANTREAL CHRISTAW

Pro se Counsel for: Cameron Cantreal Chris James Edward Stewart, Sr. Counsel for: State of Louisiana

FILED: 07/10/23

RECEIVED: PM 07/05/23

On application of Cameron Cantreal Christaw for POST CONVICTION RELIEF in No. 243,186 on the docket of the First Judicial District, Parish of CADDO, Judge Ramona L. Emanuel.

Pro se Counsel for: Cameron Cantreal Chris

James Edward Stewart, Sr. Counsel for: State of Louisiana

Before THOMPSON, ROBINSON, and MARCOTTE, JJ.

WRIT DENIED .

Applicant Cameron Christaw seeks review of the trial court's ruling denying his "Motion for Amendment of Sentence Pursuant to La.C.Cr.P. art. 881.5 and La.C.Cr.P. art. 882 to Correct an Illegal Sentence," which raise claims that are in the nature of post-conviction relief. Christaw's conviction and sentence became final in 2006, and he has failed to show that any of the limited exceptions to the time limitations apply to him. Thus, his application is time-barred under La.C.Cr.P. art. 930.8. On the showing made, the writ is denied.
