Omar S. Burhan was convicted by a jury of robbery, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, second degree assault, and two counts of use of a deadly weapon (firearm) to commit a felony. We affirmed his convictions and sentences on direct appeal. See State v. Burhan, No. A-15-572, 2016 WL 4751803 (Neb. App. Sept. 13, 2016) (selected for posting to court website) (State v. Burhan I). Burhan, pro se, now appeals from an order entered by the Douglas County District Court denying his motion for postconviction relief without an evidentiary hearing.
