STATE OF LOUISIANA v. VALMIE BROWN

In Re: Valmie Brown, applying for supervisory writs, 19th Judicial District Court, Parish of East Baton Rouge, No. 09-13-0472.

BEFORE: KUHN, HIGGINBOTHAM AND THERIOT, JJ.

WRIT DENIED. We are informed by the East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's department that relator was arrested on May 7, 2013, and on May 8, 2013, he was brought before a judge and a bond was set within 72 hours of his arrest. We are further informed by the office of the Clerk of Court of East Baton Rouge Parish that relator has been billed and arraigned on the charges at issue in his habeas petition and counsel has been appointed to represent him in this case. Therefore, a petition for a writ of habeas corpus seeking release under La. Code Crim. P. art. 701(B) is moot. See State v. Varmall, 539 So.2d 45 (La. 1989) (per curiam).
