ORDER ACCEPTING JURISDICTION AND SETTING ORAL ARGUMENT

The Court has accepted jurisdiction of this case and will hear oral argument at 9:00 a.m., MONDAY, MAY 5, 2003.

A maximum of twenty minutes to the side is allowed, but counsel is expected to use only so much of that time as is necessary.

Petitioner's brief on the merits shall be served on or before December 30, 2002; respondent's brief on the merits shall be served 20 days after service of petitioner's brief on the merits; and petitioner's reply brief on the merits shall be served 20 days after service of respondent's brief on the merits. Please file an original and seven copies of all briefs. UNLESS BRIEFS ARE TIMELY FILED, THE PRIVILEGE OF ORAL ARGUMENT WILL BE FORFEITED.

Per this Court's Administrative Order In Re: Mandatory Submission of Electronic Copies of Documents on Computer Diskette dated November 13, 2002, counsel are directed to include a copy of all briefs on a DOS formatted 3-1/2 inch diskette in WordPerfect 5.1 (or higher) format compatible in WordPerfect 10.

PLEASE LABEL ENVELOPE TO AVOID ERASURE.

The Clerk of the District Court of Appeal, Fourth District, shall file the original record on or before February 3, 2003.

NO CONTINUANCES WILL BE GRANTED EXCEPT UPON A SHOWING OF EXTREME HARDSHIP.
