State of Minnesota v. John Tyrus Anderson

ORDER ON PETITION FOR FURTHER REVIEW; Issues: (1) When a defendant does not challenge venue in the district court and waives a jury trial, is the State still required to prove venue as an element of the offense of financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult? (2) When over 450 individual thefts from vulnerable adults occurred across multiple Minnesota counties, Minnesota Statute § 609.2335 subd. 4 allows for aggregation of charges of financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult and states that the case may be prosecuted in any county where one offense was committed, when the state proves that at least one offense occurred in the county where the case was charged, is that sufficient for charging all the aggregated thefts from multiple counties in that county?
