Appeal by Sondra M. from an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County, dated January 16, 2013.

On the Court's own motion, it is

ORDERED that the parties are directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeal on the ground that the appeal has been rendered academic in light the appellant's discharge from the subject facility as of March 8, 2013, by filing an affidavit or affirmation on that issue with the Clerk of this Court on or before April 30, 2013; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court, or her designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause on Sondra M., at her last known address, on Mental Hygiene Legal Services, and on the respondent's attorney, by regular mail.
