Smith v. Singletary

District Court of Appeal of Florida, Second District
Nov 12, 1997
701 So. 2d 639 (Fla. Dist. Ct. App. 1997)

Opinion

Case No. 95-04317

Opinion filed November 12, 1997

Appeal from the Circuit Court for Hendry County; Franklin G. Baker, Judge.

Raymond Smith, pro se.

Robert A. Butterworth, Attorney General, Tallahassee, and Joseph H. Lee, Assistant Attorney General, Tampa, for Appellee.

Raymond Smith challenges the trial court's order denying his petition for change of name. We affirm the court's denial of the petition without prejudice to file a petition that complies with the requirements of section 68.07, Florida Statutes (Supp. 1994). See Barton v. Circuit Court of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit, 659 So.2d 1262 (Fla. 4th DCA 1995).

BLUE, A.C.J., and FULMER, J., and MALONEY, DENNIS P., ASSOCIATE JUDGE, Concur.
