Opinion

02 C 4813.

June 25, 2004

On April 24, 2004, I set the following summary judgment briefing schedule for this case — May 7 for Defendant United States Postal Service's motion for summary judgment, June 11 for Plaintiff Smith's response, and June 24 for Defendant's reply. On May 7, Defendant filed its summary judgment motion and its notice to pro se litigant in accordance with the set briefing schedule. It is now almost two weeks past June 11, and Plaintiff has not filed her response or properly sought an extension. Accordingly, I set the new dates of July 2 for Plaintiff's response and July 16 for Defendant's reply. Should Plaintiff fail to respond or properly seek an extension by July 2, I will rule on the motion as briefed. The status set for July 15 is stricken, and ruling will be by mail.
