Summary
In Smith v. McGovern, 65 N.Y. 574, the court in defining the term "procuring cause" held that it meant the original discovery of a purchaser by the plaintiff, together with the final closing by or on behalf of the defendant with the purchaser through the efforts of the plaintiff.
