JOSHUA CORNELL SKINNER, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 204th Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. F15-20176-Q

ORDER

Section 22.011 of the Texas Penal Code defines "child" as "a person younger than 17 years of age." See TEX. PENAL CODE ANN. § 22.011(c)(1) (West 2013). Appellant was convicted of aggravated sexual abuse of a child. Id. § 22.021. Although appellant identifies the complaining witness and her mother by initials in his brief, he refers to another child witness by name.

Accordingly, we STRIKE appellant's brief filed July 31, 2017.

We ORDER appellant to file, within FIFTEEN DAYS of the date of this order, amended briefs that identify any child witness or child victim either generically ("victim") or by initials only.

We DIRECT the Clerk to send copies of this order to Niles Illich and the Dallas County District Attorney's Office.
