Summary
In Shaw v. Spencer, 100 Mass. 382, 97 A.D. 107, 1 A.R. 115, certificates of stock issued to "E. Carter, Trustee," were pledged for the private debt of Shaw, and it was held that the pledgee took them with notice; that the addition of the word "trustee," alone, had the same effect as the words "A.B., trustee for C.D."
