Appeal from the County Court at Law No. 7 of El Paso County, Texas (TC# 2013-DCV-3139) ORDER
On June 29, 2017, the Court sent Appellant notice that her brief is past due. Even though the Clerk of the Court has repeatedly informed Appellant that the Court does not accept case-related documents or motions through email, Appellant emailed a response stating that her motion for emergency relief included a request for a 90-day extension of the deadline to file her brief. This extension request did not comply with TEX.R.APP.P. 10.5 because it does not include a reasonable explanation for needing a 90-day extension of the brief filing deadline. On our own motion, Appellant is granted a 30-day extension to file her brief. It is therefore ORDERED that Rosa Serrano, the Appellant, prepare the Appellant's brief and forward the same to this Court on or before July 24, 2017. Any future motions must comply with all applicable rules, including Rule 10.5. Failure to comply could result in rejection of the motion or denial of the relief sought.
IT IS SO ORDERED this 6th day of July, 2017.
PER CURIAM Before McClure, C.J., Rodriguez and Palafox, JJ.
