On July 14, 2023, the parties filed a joint status report pursuant to the Court's Order dated May 3, 2023. The parties represented that they continue to await the IRS' Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) to resolve petitioners' issues for the 2016 tax year. The parties informed the Court that TAS provided petitioners with an estimated resolution date of on or around October 27, 2023. The parties indicated that the case cannot close without resolution of the outstanding 2016 tax year issues. The parties request the Court to provide additional time to resolve this case.
Upon due consideration, it is
ORDERED that on or before January 15, 2024, the parties shall file a proposed stipulated decision or a joint status report.
