SHAWN SCHNITKER, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Joseph Robert Goeke Judge

This case is calendared for trial on the Court's March 25, 2024, Boise, Idaho Trial Session.

Pending before the Court is petitioner's Motion for Continuance, filed November 28, 2023. This is the first time the Court is receiving a request for continuance from the petitioner and the place of trial is Boise, Idaho. Petitioner's explanation for a continuance is inadequate and if petitioner wants a continuance, he needs to file a motion with an explanation as to why he wants a continuance. Petitioner also needs to confer with respondent and include if respondent agrees or disagrees to the continuance. The Court will direct respondent and petitioner to discuss this case and file a joint status report by January 16, 2024, confirming that they discussed this case and how it can be resolved short of trial. Accordingly, it is

ORDERED that petitioner's Motion for Continuance, filed November 28, 2023, is denied. It is further

ORDERED that this case remains set for trial on the Court's March 25, 2024, Boise, Idaho Trial Session. It is further

ORDERED that the parties are directed on or before January 16, 2024, to file with the Court a joint written report as described above.
