JOHNNY SANCHEZ, et al., Petitioners, v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes, Judge

These cases were on the Court's January 27, 2014 trial calendar for San Francisco, California. The Court put them on a long-term status-report track to see what happens in a related criminal case and in petitioners' ongoing negotiations with IRS Appeals, and to allow respondent to decide petitioner Johnny Sanchez's request for innocent-spouse relief. It turned out these related issues also depended on the outcome of the criminal trial. Then the pandemic started delaying that criminal trial, which had now been reset for January 2022, has now been postponed again with only a hearing to discuss a new date on the horizon. It is therefore

ORDERED that respondent file another status report on or before June 1, 2022 to describe the parties' progress toward settlement and any developments in the state-court case. The Court asks him to file an earlier status report if he learns the criminal case is cancelled.
