ORDER

This case, arising from an new form of alleged tax shelter, was on the Court's September 12, 2022 trial calendar for San Francisco, California. Informal discovery seemed to have broken down, and we entered an order compelling the production of documents. We spoke with the parties on June 20, 2023 to discuss progress. Petitioner is confident that she will soon find the key documents that respondent seeks. Respondent for his part promised to review them and make a final decision about moving to amend his answer. They will also cooperate in discussing next steps as the case moves to settlement or trial. With the case seemingly back on track, it is
ORDERED that the Court's previous deadline for their next status report is extended to on or before August 31, 2023, when the parties shall file a joint status report describing any other problems in pleading or discovery, as well as their progress toward settlement or a narrowing of the issues to be tried.
