Do not publish. Tex.R.App.P. 47.2(b).

ON APPEAL FROM THE 23RD DISTRICT COURT OF MATAGORDA COUNTY, TEXAS

Before Justices Benavides, Tijerina, and Silva

ORDER TO FILE APPELLANT'S BRIEF

PER CURIAM.

This cause is before the Court on appellant's failure to file the appellate brief. Appellant's brief was originally due on August 26, 2024. After two extensions, appellant's brief was due on November 15, 2024. To date, appellant's brief has not been filed.

The Court, having fully examined and considered the extensions previously granted and appellant's counsel's failure to timely file the brief, is of the opinion that the appellate brief should be ordered due. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Honorable Allison Mathis, counsel for appellant, file the appellate brief due in this cause with this Court on or before 5:00 p.m. on November 26, 2024. Failure to file the brief as ordered shall result in a show cause hearing being set and the Honorable Allison Mathis being ordered to appear in person to show cause why she should not be found in contempt of this Court's order to file the appellate brief.
