We ORDER appellant to respond by December 18, 2024, specifying whether he requested Staci Slayden to prepare the reporter's record, including designating the portions of the proceedings and the exhibits to be included. See Tex. R. App. P. 34.6(b)(1). Additionally, appellant must specify whether he requires any portion of the reporter's record for which Staci Slayden is responsible for his appeal.
To assist appellant, we note that that the "Criminal Appeals Certificate of Notice of Appeal to the Fourth Court of Appeals," prepared by the district clerk, lists Staci Slayden as the court report for December 7, 2021. An "Agreed Judgment of Competency to Stand Trial" in the clerk's record shows that the trial court signed an order on December 7, 2021, which states that the issue of appellant's competency was heard on that date and the parties agreed that appellant was competent to stand trial. Further, we note that the related proceeding, Cause No. 04-24-260-CR, similarly lists Staci Slayden as a court reporter for December 7, 2021, and the clerk's record for that appeal includes the same "Agreed Judgment of Competency to Stand Trial." Staci Slayden, however, never filed a reporter's record in Cause No. 04-24-260-CR; yet the parties filed briefs, and that case is at issue.
