Vera Robbins & James Robbins Petitioners v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue Respondent

ORDER

Maurice B. Foley Chief Judge

By Order To Show Cause served August 4, 2021, the Court directed the parties to show cause in writing why this case should not be closed on the ground of duplication with Docket No. 16444-21S. Each party has since filed a response acknowledging that the cases are duplicative, insofar as both this case and the case at Docket No. 16444-21S seek review of the same notice of deficiency dated February 8, 2021, and issued to petitioners for the 2018 taxable year. Accordingly, the Court will close this case as set forth below.

Upon due consideration of the foregoing, it is

ORDERED that the Court's Order To Show Cause served August 4, 2021, is hereby made absolute, and this case is closed on the ground of duplication with Docket No. 16444-21S.

Petitioners are advised that their case at Docket No. 16444-21S shall continue and that any future filings concerning their Federal income tax liability for the 2018 taxable year should be filed in Docket No. 16444-21S.
