William Joe RHOMER, Appellant v. The STATE of Texas, Appellee

From the 290th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court No. 2012CR9066
Honorable Melisa Skinner, Judge Presiding

ORDER

The State's brief was originally due in this court on September 21, 2016. On September 27, 2016, the State filed its first motion to extend time to file its brief. The court granted the State's motion and ordered the State to file its brief on or before October 21, 2016, granting the State a thirty-day extension. The brief was not filed. On October 24, 2016, the State filed a second motion to extend time to file its brief, asking for another thirty days in which to file its brief. After review, we GRANT the State's second motion to extend time to file its brief and ORDER the State to file its brief in this court on or before November 21, 2016.

We note that in the motion filed October 24, 2016, the State asserts it is their first motion to extend time to file its brief. As explained, this is the State's second motion for extension of time. --------
