ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

This case is calendared for trial at the session of the Court to be conducted in person commencing on March 13, 2023, in Chicago, Illinois. On March 9, 2023, respondent filed a Motion to Dismiss for Failure to Properly Prosecute, indicating therein that petitioner failed to respond to several attempts by respondent's Office of Appeals regarding this case and that petitioner's views as to the granting of that motion were unknown.
On March 13, 2023, this case was called and then recalled, there was no appearance by nor anyone on behalf of petitioner. Respondent's Counsel appeared and was heard.
Upon due consideration and for cause more fully appearing in the transcript, it is hereby
ORDERED that on or before April 13, 2023, petitioner shall show cause in writing why respondent's Motion to Dismiss for Failure to Properly Prosecute filed March 9, 2023, should not be granted and a decision entered against petitioner for the amounts and year set forth in respondent's Motion. It is further
ORDERED that respondent's Motion to Dismiss for Failure to Properly Prosecute is taken under advisement. It is further
ORDERED that this case is continued. It is further
ORDERD that jurisdiction is retained by the undersigned.
Petitioner is advised that the failure to respond to this Order may result in the dismissal of this case and Entry of Decision as requested in respondent's Motion.
