Adam Reposa, Appellant v. The State of Texas, Appellee

FROM COUNTY COURT AT LAW NO. 5 OF TRAVIS COUNTY
NO. C-1-CR-17-100018, HONORABLE PAUL R. DAVIS, JUDGE PRESIDING MEMORANDUM OPINION

Appellant Adam Reposa, a licensed attorney, seeks to appeal the trial court's judgment finding him in direct criminal contempt. See In re State ex rel. Escamilla, No. 03-17-00667-CV, 2017 WL 6503089, *1 (Tex. App.—Austin Dec. 11, 2017, orig. proceeding) (mem. op.) (summary of procedural history). There is no right of appeal from an order of contempt. Ex parte Eureste, 725 S.W.2d 214, 216 (Tex. Crim. App. 1986); see Joyner v. State, No. 14-11-00808-CR, 2011 WL 5554625, at *1 (Tex. App.—Houston [14th Dist.] Nov. 15, 2011, no pet.) (per curiam) (mem. op., not designated for publication) (dismissing appeal from judgment of contempt for lack of jurisdiction). Consequently, we do not have jurisdiction over this appeal, and the appeal is dismissed.
