JAMES MARVIN REED, JR., Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes Judge

This case was originally on the March 15, 2021 St. Paul, Minnesota trial calendar, but we continued it because Mr. Reed still had some time to serve in prison. He was released last year, and we spoke with the parties in June. They seemed to have been able to settle some issues, but then communications broke down. We finally reestablished contact in February and, in a phone call on February 8 learned that Mr. Reed had relocated to Michigan. He understandably wanted a change in the place of trial. The Court thought that a regular judge would be going to Detroit in the spring, but that turned out not to be true. We expect, but do not know for sure, that the Court will return to Detroit in the fall. To make sure that this case makes it onto the next Detroit calendar, it is

ORDERED that this division of the Court no longer retains jurisdiction of this case. It is also ORDERED that the designated place of trial shall be changed to Detroit, Michigan.
