In Redfield v. Redfield, 110 N.Y. 671, the plaintiff alleged that her husband purchased for her, with her money, certain shares of stock, taking the certificates in his name as trustee; that he delivered these certificates to her, but subsequently, without her authority or knowledge, transferred the certificates to his father, defendant's testator.
