CHRISTOPHER GERARD PRUITT, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 282nd Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas
Trial Court Cause Nos. F18-55426-S & F18-55425-S

ORDER

We REINSTATE these appeals.

We abated because appellant's brief, initially due on August 12, 2020, had not been filed. On March 22, 2021, appellant filed his brief and motion for extension of time to file the same. Because the trial court has not held or scheduled a hearing, we VACATE that portion of our March 8, 2021 order requiring a hearing and findings.

We GRANT the motion and ORDER the brief filed as of the date of this order.

We DIRECT the Clerk to send copies of this order to the Honorable Amber Givens, Presiding Judge, 282nd Judicial District Court; to Valencia Bush; and to the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, Appellate Division.

CHIEF JUSTICE
