CASSANDRA PROVENCE v. MATTHEW SELEY SCHMUDE

On Appeal from County Court at Law Number 2 Randall County, Texas
Trial Court No. 76,085-L2; Honorable Matthew Martindale, Presiding

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Before QUINN, C.J., and PIRTLE and PARKER, JJ.

Appellant, Cassandra Provence, appearing pro se, appeals from the trial court's Final Order in Suit Affecting the Parent Child Relationship. Provence's brief, originally due May 21, 2020, has not been filed. By letter of June 26, 2020, we notified Provence that the appeal was subject to dismissal for want of prosecution if her brief was not received by July 6. No brief was filed as ordered. Instead, on July 6, Provence filed a motion requesting an extension to July 11 to file her brief. No brief was filed by July 11, therefore, no action was taken on that motion. To date, Provence has not filed a brief or had any further communication with this court.

Accordingly, we deny Provence's motion for extension as moot and dismiss her appeal for want of prosecution. TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a)(1), 42.3(b).
