Appeal from the 448 District Court of El Paso County, Texas (TC# 2017DCV0741) ORDER
On May 16, 2017, Appellants filed an emergency motion requesting a stay of the temporary injunction and the trial court proceedings pending resolution of this appeal. The Court requested that Appellee file his response by Friday, May 19, 2017. Appellee has filed a motion requesting that the due date be extended until May 31, 2017 because he would like for the Court to have access to the reporter's record when it rules on the emergency motion. The reporter's record is currently due to be filed on May 25, 2017. Appellee has not shown that he is unable to respond to Appellants' motion for temporary relief without the reporter's record. The Rules of Appellate Procedure permit the parties to support a motion or response with affidavits or other satisfactory evidence. See TEX.R.APP.P. 10.2. Accordingly, the motion is DENIED. On the Court's own motion, the deadline for Appellee's response is extended to Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
IT IS SO ORDERED this 19 day of May, 2017.
