ORDER
Before the Court is appellant's May 9, 2018 request for an extension of time to respond to the Court's March 30, 2018 letter. The letter references the Court's order of that same date directing appellant to file, no later than April 12, 2018, written verification he had requested the reporter's record and either paid or made arrangements to pay the reporter's fee or is entitled to proceed without payment of costs. Appellant explains the extension is necessary because he received the Court's letter "on or about April 5, 2018," and the prison facility where he is incarcerated went into "lockdown" April 6, 2018.
We submitted the appeal without the reporter's record by order of April 24, 2018, after appellant failed to file the requested verification. On our own motion, we VACATE our April 24th order. We GRANT appellant's extension request and ORDER appellant to file, no later than May 21, 2018, verification he has requested the reporter's record and either paid or made arrangements to pay for the record or is entitled to proceed without payment of costs. We caution appellant that failure to comply may result in the appeal being submitted without the reporter's record. See TEX. R. APP. P. 37.3(c).
