JAMES K. PRATT-HEANEY, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes Judge

This case is on the Court's October 2, 2023 trial calendar for Hartford, Connecticut. Respondent moved to continue it on June 29, 2023. Petitioner did not object, but we spoke with the parties today to discuss progress. We learned that it is reasonably likely either to settle or to be the subject of a summary-judgment motion on the basis of the administrative record. Petitioner promised to update his financial information and get it to respondent's counsel by August 4. Respondent's counsel promised to review and begin discussing petitioner's updated financial information, and compile the administrative record, by September 14. The Court will hold onto the motion for a continuance, but intends to grant it if the parties are making progress but need some more time. To monitor how things are going, it is

ORDERED that on or before September 21, 2023 respondent shall file a status report to describe progress toward settlement or summary judgment.
