ORDER
Pursuant to Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 10.4 (a), the Motion ruled on through this Order may have been decided by a single Justice sitting on the panel.
Pending before the Court is the parties' joint motion to abate. The motion states that the parties are continuing negotiations to resolve the claims in this appeal.
The Court GRANTS the motion and ORDERS this appeal be abated until August 23, 2024, to give the parties an opportunity to finalize a settlement. If the parties are able to finalize a settlement prior to August 23, 2024, the parties are ORDERED to notify the Court and file an appropriate motion to dismiss this appeal pursuant to Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 42.1. See Tex. R. App. P. 42.1(a)(1) (allowing an appellate court to dismiss an appeal on the motion of the appellant); Id. 42.1(a)(2) (allowing an appellate court to dismiss an appeal with an agreement signed by the parties and filed with the clerk).
