Supreme Court of Louisiana
Apr 24, 1981
399 So. 2d 210 (La. 1981)

Opinion

No. 81-C-1069.

April 24, 1981.

In re Board of Commissioners for the Fifth Louisiana Levee District, applying for writ of certiorari and for stay order. Parish of Madison. No. 78-518.

Writ denied.

MARCUS, BLANCHE and LEMMON, JJ., would grant a continuance. The trial judge after permitting counsel to withdraw from the case abused her much discretion in denying the client a continuance in order to obtain new counsel and to afford new counsel an opportunity to prepare for a complex case.
