DONY PIERRE & ANTOINETTE PIERRE, Petitioners v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent
ORDER
L. Paige Marvel, Judge.
This case and its related case at Docket No. 19669-18 are calendared for trial at the Court's October 31, 2022, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, trial session. On September 25, 2022, petitioners filed a Motion to Proceed Remotely in each case. On September 29, 2022, respondent filed his Responses to Motion to Proceed Remotely in which he stated his objections to petitioners' motions. On October 4, 2022, the Court held a telephone conference call with the parties to discuss the pending motions. The Court deferred ruling on petitioners' motions to proceed remotely and instructed the parties to cooperate in preparing the cases for trial by exchanging all stipulated documents and preparing a stipulation of facts. The Court scheduled the cases for an additional conference call for October 13, 2022. As scheduled, the parties held another telephone conference call. As discussed, the Court will grant petitioners' motions to proceed remotely, continue the cases and retain jurisdiction. The Court also directed the parties to file a motion to consolidate this case and its related case. Upon due consideration and for cause, it is
ORDERED that petitioners' Motion to Proceed Remotely, filed September 25, 2022, is granted in that this case is stricken for trial from the Court's October 31, 2022, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Trial Session and is continued to be calendared for a remote trial or other disposition in due course. It is further
ORDERED that jurisdiction of this case is retained by the undersigned. It is further
ORDERED that on or before October 28, 2022, the parties shall file a joint motion to consolidate this case and its related case.
