These cases involve charitable contribution deductions claimed for the donation of conservation easements. By Order served December 28, 2022, the Court assigned jurisdiction of the cases at docket numbers 22615-21 and 23000-21 to the undersigned and consolidated the three cases for purposes of trial, briefing, and opinion.
On March 27, 2023, the undersigned held an informal conference call with the parties to discuss possible trial dates. During the call, the parties agreed to a two-week special session beginning Monday, November 4, 2024, with the venue to be determined. On April 6, 2023, petitioners' counsel contacted the Court indicating that the parties have agreed to Atlanta, Georgia, as the place of trial. In consideration of the foregoing, it is
ORDERED that these cases are set for trial at a special session of the Court starting at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, November 4, 2024, in Room 1136, Russell Federal Building and Courthouse, 75 Spring Street, S.W., Atlanta, Georgia, 30303. The undersigned will be presiding. The parties may file at their convenience a motion or a joint status report proposing a pre-trial schedule.
This order constitutes official notice of its contents to the parties.
