OPINION

We are familiar with this family, having issued a prior opinion in a related dependency matter. (In re Frederick B. (May 11, 2011, A129254) [nonpub. op.].) N.P. (mother) now appeals from two separate orders continuing the permanency planning hearing with respect to her two sons, E.C. and R.C. (Welf. & Inst. Code, § 366.26.) We consolidated the two appeals and appointed appellate counsel to represent mother.

On August 28, 2017, counsel filed an opening brief pursuant to In re Phoenix H. (2009) 47 Cal.4th 835, finding no arguable issues. By accompanying declaration, counsel reported that she had advised mother of the pendency of these proceedings, that a "No Issues Statement" would be filed, and that mother might be permitted to file a letter with this court suggesting any reviewable errors she believes were made in the proceedings below. In August 2017, we notified mother that a "No Issues Statement" was filed by her attorney and we subsequently received a written response from mother. We have reviewed mother's response and— although she questions numerous decisions made below throughout the many years of her involvement with the dependency system—she has made no showing that an arguable issue does, in fact, exist with respect to the two orders she currently challenges on appeal. (See In re Phoenix H., supra, 47 Cal.4th at pp. 844, 846.)

DISPOSITION

Because no claim of error or other defect has been raised in this matter, the appeals filed in A150643 and A151331 are dismissed as abandoned. (In re Phoenix H., supra, 47 Cal.4th at pp. 844-846; In re Sade C. (1996) 13 Cal.4th 952, 994.)
