Adam Guerrero Perez, Appellant v. The State of Texas, Appellee

FROM THE DISTRICT COURT OF TRAVIS COUNTY, 147TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT
NO. D-1-DC-14-202568, HONORABLE CLIFFORD A. BROWN, JUDGE PRESIDINGORDER

PER CURIAM

Appellant filed his notice of appeal on July 10, 2015, and the reporter's record in this cause was originally due on August 28, 2015. On September 21, 2015, we notified the court reporter, Kimberly Lee, that the reporter's record was overdue. Lee responded by informing the Court that she would have the record filed by October 21, 2015. However, Lee failed to file the record by that date. Instead, on November 2 and November 20, 2015, Lee requested additional extensions of time, each time explaining that she was behind in preparing the record due to a heavy work load. Finally, on January 4, 2016, Lee requested a fourth extension of time, stating that she is currently preparing several large records but expects to have the record in this case filed by February 29, 2016.

We order Lee to file the reporter's record in this cause no later than February 29, 2016. Failure to file the record will result in Lee being called before the Court to show cause why she should not be held in contempt of this order.

It is so ordered January 29, 2016. Before Justices Puryear, Goodwin, and Field Do Not Publish
