AXEL O. PEREZ, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Christian N. Weiler, Judge.

This case was called during the Court's Chicago, Illinois trial session on February 6, 2023. During calendar call, the parties informed the Court that a basis for settlement had been reached.

On April 7, 2023, respondent filed a status report stating that in order for the parties to file signed Stipulation and Decision documents in this case, respondent had to make changes to petitioner's 2017 account, which include updating the Assessment Statute Expiration Date, correcting the originally filed return information, and reversing barred overpayments.

Respondent's subsequent reports filed on August 2, 2023, and September 1, 2023, informed the Court that he had successfully reversed the barred overpayment in this case and that respondent's counsel requested computations which were received on August 31, 2023. Respondent's counsel has since mailed to petitioner Stipulation and Decision documents to review, sign, and return to respondent's counsel for filing.

Upon due consideration of the foregoing, it is

ORDERED that on or before October 6, 2023, the parties shall file executed Stipulation and Decision documents or a joint or separate status report.
