ORDER

PER CURIAM

Pursuant to Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 10.4 (a) the motion ruled on through this Order may have been decided by a single Justice sitting on the panel.

On July 2, 2024, Eduardo Solis, Appellant's retained attorney, filed a motion to appoint appellate counsel. This Court does not have the authority to rule on the motion, nor to appoint counsel.

Therefore, this appeal is abated, and it is ORDERED that the trial court conduct a hearing to determine if the appellant has retained new counsel or is entitled to court-appointed counsel. The trial court shall forward its order and/or findings to the District Clerk of El Paso County on or before July 25, 2024. The District Clerk shall prepare a supplemental clerk's record containing the trial court's order and/or findings on or before August 4, 2024. Further, the transcription of the hearing shall be prepared, certified, and filed with this Court on or before August 4, 2024.

IT IS SO ORDERED.
