PEOPLE v. YONKO (TONY RICKY)

Withdrawal of counsel allowed by order

Appellant Tony Ricky Yonko's “Application to File Declarations of Randall Bookout and Neoma Kenwood and Exhibit 1 Under Seal” filed on September 12, 2019, is granted. The court makes the findings required by California Rules of Court, rule 8.46(d)(6).

Good cause appearing, the motion of Randall Bookout, appointed appellate-only counsel for appellant Yonko, for permission to withdraw as attorney of record, filed September 12, 2019, is granted. On the court's own motion, Joseph Schlesinger, in his capacity as Executive Director of the California Appellate Project in San Francisco, is hereby appointed as interim appellate counsel of record for appellant Tony Ricky Yonko.

Randall Bookout is hereby directed to deliver to Executive Director Schlesinger, within 60 days from the filing of this order, all appellate work product, trial files, and all other appellate materials that he has obtained from appellant Tony Ricky Yonko or from his trial counsel or paralegals, or from any other source.
