ORDER

Sima G. Patel, Judge, acting under MCR 7.211(E)(2), orders:

These cases are REMANDED to the trial court for the appointment of appellate counsel for the defendant-appellant. MCR 6.425(G)(1). Matters pertaining to the appointment of an attorney are decided in the trial court. MCR 7.208(G). The trial court shall appoint counsel for defendant-appellant within 21 days of this order. The trial court shall send a copy of the order of appointment to the Clerk of this Court within 7 days of the decision.

The Clerk's Office is directed to send a copy of this order to the Michigan Appellate Assigned Counsel System at maacsfilings@sado.org.

This Court retains jurisdiction.
