(Ventura County)

Briand Williams pled no contest in Ventura Superior Court to obtaining money through false pretenses. (Pen. Code, § 532, subd. (a).) The original plea agreement was that Williams would receive a split sentence in county jail. By the time of sentencing, however, Williams had been sentenced to a four-year state prison term by the trial court in Los Angeles County. The court offered an eight-month subordinate term with credit for time served. Williams agreed to the change. The court ordered restitution of $8,080.12 to First Auto Group and to Lisa Doerr in an amount to be determined by further order of the court. Williams objected but declined a restitution hearing. Williams filed a notice of appeal from the sentence.

We appointed counsel to represent Williams on appeal. After counsel's review of the record, he filed a brief raising no issues.

On March 27, 2018, we advised Williams by mail that he had 30 days within which to personally submit any contentions or issues that he wished to raise on appeal.

In response, Williams filed two petitions for writs of habeas corpus. We will consider those petitions separate from this appeal.

We have reviewed the entire record and are satisfied that Williams's attorney has fully complied with his responsibilities and that no arguable issue exists. (People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436, 441.)

The judgment is affirmed.

NOT TO BE PUBLISHED.
