Summary Dispositions July 25, 1997:

In lieu of granting leave to appeal, the Court of Appeals order dismissing the claim of appeal is vacated, and the defendant's appeal is reinstated. MCR 7.302(F)(1). Although there was a written waiver of the defendant's appeal of right, the trial court did not, on the record, ask the prosecutor or the defendant's lawyer what the terms of the plea agreement were and did not confirm the terms of the agreement with the defendant. MCR 6.302(C)(2).
