ORDER

KATHLEEN JANSEN PRESIDING JUDGE.

Pursuant to MCR 7.205(E)(2), in lieu of granting the application for leave to appeal, that portion of the July 27, 2023 judgment of sentence imposing a $500 fine on defendant's conviction under MCL 750.83 is VACATED. In all other respects, the application is DENIED for lack of merit in the grounds presented.

The motion to remand is DENIED as moot in light of the relief granted in lieu of granting the application for leave to appeal.

This order is to have immediate effect. MCR 7.215(F)(2).

We do not retain jurisdiction.
