APPEAL from a judgment of the Superior Court of Imperial County No. JCF25989, Christopher W. Yeager, Judge.
McINTYRE, J.
Quincy Thornton entered a negotiated no contest plea pursuant to People v. West (1970) 3 Cal.3d 595 to battery on a nonconfined person by a prisoner (Pen. Code, § 4501.5). The court sentenced him to a stipulated four-year upper prison term, to be served consecutively to the term he was serving. Thornton appeals. We affirm.
BACKGROUND
On January 27, 2010, Thornton, an inmate at Calipatria State Prison, hit a prison guard in the face with his hand.
DISCUSSION
Appointed appellate counsel has filed a brief summarizing the facts and proceedings below. Counsel presents no argument for reversal, but asks this court to review the record for error as mandated by People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436 (Wende). Pursuant to Anders v. California (1967) 386 U.S. 738 (Anders) counsel lists as a possible, but not arguable, issue: whether Thornton's sentence conformed to the plea bargain.
We granted Thornton permission to file a brief on his own behalf. He has not responded. A review of the record pursuant to Wende and Anders, including the possible issue listed pursuant to Anders, has disclosed no reasonably arguable appellate issues. Thornton has been competently represented by counsel on this appeal.
DISPOSITION
The judgment is affirmed.
