People of Michigan v. Mariah Thomas

LC No. 16-000209-02-FC

ORDER

Elizabeth L. Gleicher, Chief Judge, acting under MCR 7.203(F)(1), orders:

The motion to waive fees is GRANTED for this case only.

The delayed application for leave to appeal from the June 21, 2021 order and the motion for enlargement of page limitation are DISMISSED for lack of jurisdiction because appellant failed to file the application within the time period required by MCR 7.205(A)(4). The application was not filed within six months of entry of the June 21, 2021 order, and the six-month period cannot be counted from entry of the order deciding appellant's motion for reconsideration because the motion was not filed within the initial 21-day appeal period. MCR 7.205(A)(1) and (4).
