THE PEOPLE, Plaintiff and Respondent, v. RICARDO TALAMONTES, Defendant and Appellant.

Jill Ishida, under appointment by the Court of Appeal, for Defendant and Appellant. No appearance, for Plaintiff and Respondent.

Ricardo Talamontes appeals the judgment entered after conviction following court trial of robbery in which Talamontes personally used a firearm, burglary, possession of a firearm by a felon and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. (Pen. Code, §§ 211, 12022.53, subd. (b), 459, 12021, subd. (a)(1), 148, subd. (a).) The trial court sentenced Talamontes to a term of 12 years in state prison.

We appointed counsel to represent Talamontes on this appeal. After examination of the record, counsel filed an opening brief in which no issues were raised and which requested this court to conduct an independent review of the record. By notice filed June 13, 2003, the clerk of this court advised Talamontes to submit any contention, ground of appeal or argument he wished this court to consider within 30 days. No response has been received to date.

We have examined the entire record and are satisfied Talamontess counsel has complied fully with counsels responsibilities. (People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436, 443, 158 Cal. Rptr. 839, 600 P.2d 1071.)

DISPOSITION

The judgment is affirmed.

We concur: CROSKEY, J., ALDRICH, J.
