Separate orders of this Court having been entered on August 17, 2023, each, inter alia, granting defendant leave to prosecute, as a poor person, the respective appeals taken to this Court from separate judgments of the Supreme Court, New York County, rendered on or about January 13, 2023, and assigning Jenay Nurse Guilford, Esq., Center for Appellate Litigation, as counsel to prosecute each appeal; and assigned counsel in each case having moved to be relieved as such counsel, and for related relief (Motion Nos. 2023-02900/Case No. 2023-01674 and 2023-02901/Case No. 2023-01667)
Now, upon reading and filing the papers with respect to the motions, and due deliberation having been had thereon,
It is ordered that the motions are granted to the extent of striking the designation of Jenay Nurse Guilford, Esq., Center for Appellate Litigation, as assigned counsel to prosecute each of the aforementioned appeals, and substituting, pursuant to Section 722 of the County Law, Caprice R. Jenerson, Esq., 11 Park Place, Suite 1601, New York, New York 10007, 212-402-4100 as such counsel. The poor person relief previously granted is continued, and appellant's time in which to perfect the appeals is extended until 120 days from the date of this order or the receipt of the complete record, whichever is later (Motion Nos. 2024-02490 and 2024-02522).
