    On July 29, 2014, the Michigan Supreme Court denied application for leave to appeal. (Id. at 2-3); People v. Smith, 496 Mich. 864 (Mich. 2014). On July 30, 2015, Petitioner filed this petition for habeas corpus, challenging her conviction because she was deprived her Sixth Amendment right to compulsory process and her Fourteenth Amendment right to due process when the trial court refused to compel the appearance and testimony of the res gestae witness, Harvard Gardner, who she asserts was to have provided exculpatory evidence.
