Opinion

NOT TO BE PUBLISHED

Super. Ct. No. 2008023121 Ventura County, Bruce A. Clark, Judge.

Richard B. Lennon, under appointment by the Court of Appeal, for Defendant and Appellant.

No appearance for Plaintiff and Respondent.

COFFEE, J.

Stephanie Jeanne Sheets appeals from the judgment following her entry of a guilty plea to transporting methamphetamine for sale and her admission of prior narcotics conviction and prior prison term allegations. (Health & Saf. Code, §§ 11379, subd. (a); 11370.2, subd. (c); Pen. Code., § 667.5, subd. (b).) Pursuant to the plea agreement, the court sentenced appellant to a three-year state prison term, and ordered her to pay restitution fines and other fees and fines. We affirm.

On June 7, 2008, a police officer stopped appellant as she was driving her car. Another officer arrived with a canine and searched appellant’s car. He found a small leather bag under the steering wheel dash area with four separate packages of methamphetamine (2.8, 7.4 and 16.6 grams in each of three plastic bags and a paper bindle with 2.5 grams).

We appointed counsel to represent appellant on appeal. After examining the record, counsel filed an opening brief in this court raising no issues and requested that we independently examine the record pursuant to People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436.

On January 30, 2009, we advised appellant that she had 30 days in which to submit a written brief or letter stating any contentions or arguments she wished us to consider. Appellant did not respond.

We have reviewed the record. We are satisfied that appellant's counsel has fully complied with his responsibilities and that no arguable issues exist. (People v. Kelly (2006) 40 Cal.4th 106, 123-124; People v. Wende, supra, 25 Cal.3d at p. 441.)

The judgment is affirmed.

We concur: GILBERT, P.J. YEGAN, J.
