PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN, Plaintiff-Appellee, v. MICHAEL VANCE SHARROW, Defendant-Appellant.

Oscoda CC: 2022-001861-FC

Elizabeth T. Clement, Chief Justice Brian K. Zahra David F. Viviano Richard H. Bernstein Megan K. Cavanagh Elizabeth M. Welch Kyra H. Bolden, Justices

ORDER

By order of January 3, 2024, the plaintiff-appellee was directed to answer the application for leave to appeal the August 24, 2023 order of the Court of Appeals. No answer was received. On order of the Court, the motion for immediate consideration is GRANTED. Pursuant to MCR 7.305(H)(1), in lieu of granting leave to appeal, we REMAND this case to the Court of Appeals for consideration, as on leave granted, of whether the trial court was authorized to order the defendant to pay a ten-dollar "local court cost." In all other respects, leave to appeal is DENIED, because we are not persuaded that the remaining questions presented should be reviewed by this Court.
